I think I've found... - 10/8/07 @ 6:15

I think I've found pretty much the worst game of all time. It's called "Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog" and is for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance. I found it the other day in my dad's car under one of the seats. It's really easy except for some parts that take more luck than skill. It has a measly 5 areas, each with 2 short levels and 1 easy boss; that totals 10 levels and 5 bosses. The final boss was really easy- easier, in fact, than Gorea 1 & 2 in Metroid Prime: Hunters. The plot really isn't that great either. All in all, I beat the game in about 1 and a half hours. I guess I shouldn't really criticize games like this, but it really suprised me about how bad it was. When I played it last(about 5 years ago approx.) it seemed way harder and longer. I guess it's meant for the younger crowd. Oh well, give yourself a few hours of fun and go buy the game on amazon or eBay [= .

Weekly SSBB Update #2 - 10/5/07 @ 8:20

I almost forgot about it this week, but luckily I'm a genius, so I never forget(gee I wish...). Anyway, this week we had Lucas, some stuff on Snake, Excitebike, Fox: Final Smash, Shielding & Dodging, and Team(co-op).

Lucas is from the Japanese-only release Mother 3. He has psychic powers and is a playable character. That's really about it.

Next, for snake they announced a new arena called Shadow Moses Island. It is a nightime-set course on a heli-pad. Many things can happen here, including steel walls falling on you, and certain Metal Gear character appearances(REX and RAY were featured in the screens). Also, they had some videos but I didn't really watch them so the pages for those are here and here.

On Wednesday, we had Excitebike. It's an Assist Trophy, and when you use it, a bunch of very pixelated bikers come driving across the stage. Apparently they can hurt you pretty bad so they aren't something to be taken lightly.

Next, Fox's Final Smash. Fox's Final Smash is the Landmaster. It is a giant, cool tank that you can run people over with or shoot with it's awesome cannon. It's so cool. The other article on Thursday was about Shielding and Dodging. Most people know about this so I won't go too in depth with this. But you can press a button to bring your shields up. If people hit your shields too much, then your shield will go down until, well... Until you don't have a shield anymore. You can also use the control stick to dodge the enemies moves. And that's it.

And finally, today's article stated how you can be on a team in the Subspace Emissary. In other words, you can do co-op in adventure mode. Player one is the protaganist, while player 2 is just following. If player 2 falls out of the screen, you can press a button to jump to where player 1 is. The article also showed an example of the world map, which, I think, is the first official image of that kind. You form a team by the development of the story, so you can choose the team you want to use by those characteristics. And last, you can choose difficulty modes.

I hope you enjoyed my SSBB weekly update #2. And remember, if you want to see the original articles, then just go to smashbros.com.

Phantom Hourglass Release and Halo DS - 10/2/07 @ 8:46

As of yesterday(October 1st), The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has officially been released. So what are you waiting for? Go buy a copy! Me, well, I'm kind of low on cash flow at the moment so it might be a while 'till I buy it. I'm playing other games like Pokemon Diamond and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers(GBA) at the moment anyway. But then...

Today I came across an article about Halo DS. What the? Bungie actually had plans to make a Halo game for the DS? Apparently so. "Matt from IGN" claims on his blog that Bungie actually did work on a Halo DS title. Apparently, though, the idea was canned. From the videos in the article though, this doesn't look like some bad joke by some two jerk programmers. It actually looks pretty real. Unfortunately, they say Halo DS will never be released- or it is very, very unlikely. Maybe Bungie will decide otherwise and continue on the project. The sad thing though is that they seem to have come quite a long way in development of the game. If you would like to read the article in it's original format, the Uniform Resource Locator(URL, that was technical, huh?) is http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=11121.
