Preferred Software

This page contains my favorite programs that I use a lot. You might find use of them. I have included a description and a homepage link for each program. I have also put them into categories. I hope you find use of these programs. They're all freeware and virus free so you needn't worry. Enjoy.

Web Browsers

Mozilla Firefox
Pretty much the best web browser ever made. I prefer this one over Internet Explorer (all versions). Loads faster and comes quite plain, just waiting for you to customize it according to what you want and need. Add search engines to it, download different layout sets, Firefox lets you make it look like you want it to. Unlike many versions of Internet Explorer 7, it doesn't come preloaded with tons of junk. It's really a nice program so give it a try.

Digital Imagery

The GIMP
This program is pretty much the same as Adobe Photoshop, but it is different in many ways. For one it's free. For two, it's not quite as popular in the area of brushes and things. But it works and it's what I use to make all of the images for my site and computer. It takes a few tutorials to get a hang of it but once you do you can make some really cool pictures. Visit the "Site Graphics" page on this site for a whole page dedicated to this program.

Web Programming

Notepad 2
Basically the same as Windows' version of Notepad, Notepad 2 is more angled towards programmers. This is my favorite program that I use to write webpages.

HTML Kit
A great program with plenty of tools to make web programming easier. I don't use it that much as I prefer a simple text editor (notepad/ notepad2), but I think you find you will like it.

That's basically it unless I remember some programs that I use and like.
